"Mother Said"

“Life is made of simple things,” Mother said.

“A freezer full, a roof, a bed…simple things”, Mother said.

“A loving touch, a friend, a neighbor being there whenever able.”

“Life is made of simple things,” Mother said.

“Love your neighbor as yourself, give your all, give your wealth;”

“Life is made of simple things,” Mother said.

“Treat everybody right, never get uptight. Share what you have with the good and the bad.”

“Life is made of simple things,” Mother said.

Jesus said, “By this, shall men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have loved one to another.”

Remember, what Mother said!

"Mother's Grandchild"

A quiet peace overcomes me, when I think of you.
We had a special bond between us that began with my birth and continued until your passing away.
You've always touched, engaged, and intertwined your life with mine, whether we were face-to-face or at a
distance.
I look at mom, I think of you! I look at me, I think of you! Generations of you, that no one could match.
Your gentleness and love so sweetly enlightens my longing soul.
Engrossed in life...lovingly set free to love and be loved.
You were always at peace with yourself and life for what it is and was...Your values and beliefs were strong, and through this, everything you stood for was passed on too me!
I've reached out my hand to your tenderness; you're my friend, companion, mentor, and most of all... "The Greatest Grandmother Ever!"

Mother,

I see you, yet as you lay sleeping, just as you were before...
I will miss and love you always!

You See, We Are The Same

What measures the differences between us? I am like those of the air I breathe. From above, breaths we inhale. Air is evenly divided, among those who dress, speak, and walk differently.

You see light–lighter; brown-browner; or dark-darker, complexions. You see straight, wavy, curly, short, or long hair. You see small or large teeth. You see slim–fat and tall–short bodies. Are we not the same?

Limbs are two by two, liquid red blood, and mouths for speaking. All crumbles, just the same. Limbs can be broken. Blood can be lost. Mouths can be speechless. Are we not the same?

I live not in the box of difference. I enjoy the same air. I wear cloth made from the same fabric. I speak with a dialogue dictated by my environment. I walk as required to get around. I will not breathe, when the air is gone.

When we breath no more, our bodies will decay into the earth… in the world that belongs to us both….You are my neighbor...Are we not the same?

Deception Is Only With Self

Those who deceive lie not to others, but to thyself…

Keep track of the mess you speak…

Seek to be straight- not possible...

Deception is only with self.

Look in the mirror what or who do you see?
Your mouth move...
Words are strong and full of tones that reflect back to you…
Seek to be straight- not possible...
Deception is only with self.

Turn around and feel the tones that reflect from thy throne…

What is built through thy words is what lives…

Seek to be straight- not possible…

Deception is only with self.

Many will believe what they hear…

But what is built through thy words is what lives…

Seek to be straight- not possible…

Deception is only with self.

Go ahead keep track of the mess you speak…

In the end, the count will be lost...

Deception is only with self.

The Essence of Destiny

Watch your thoughts for they become words.

Choose your words for they become actions.

Understand your actions for they become habits.

Study your habits for they will become your character.

Develop your character for it becomes your destiny.
